Essential tour to discover the different areas of A Coruña: the Old City, the most modern part and the magnificent promenade that surrounds the city.. Although the visit focuses on history and monuments, we will also talk about well-known people from A Coruña and curiosities of “the city where no one is a stranger”, thanks to how welcoming its
population.

The tour begins in the Plaza de María Pita. There we will explain the evolution of the city over the years, from its origins as a small Roman town, through its military importance in the history of Spain, until it became a beautiful and modern city on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

We will discover why the main square of the city is dedicated to María Pita, the savior of A Coruña. From here we will go to the Old City, made up of pedestrian and cobbled streets. We will visit the San Carlos Garden and enjoy impressive views of the city’s bay. In addition, we will talk about the English Way, which takes pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela from A Coruña. We will leave the old city behind to visit La Marina, the famous set of glass galleries in front of the Real Club Náutico, which gives A Coruña the name of “the city of glass” and “balcony of the Atlantic”.. Our visit will continue to the most modern and vibrant part of the city, Calle Real and the Obelisk in the Canton Grande area. The tour ends between the beaches of Riazor and Orzán, bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

What is the Tower of Hercules? Why is it located in A Coruña? Why is there a British general buried in A Coruña? What are the most important companies in the city?

If you want to discover the answers to all these unknowns, come to our freetour. We will talk about world famous painters, fashion brands from A Coruña and the famous Galician beer that is brewed in the city. At the end of the visit, you are free to pay whatever you want.
