So, so beautiful. I visited the Cathedral and its surrounding old town twice, spending hours simply taking in its beauty and atmosphere. Believe me, it’s far more magnificent than photos can capture, its sheer scale and architectural grandeur are breathtaking.
What I loved most was not just the cathedral itself, but the charm of the entire locality, filled with history, peaceful streets, and an unforgettable ambiance.
I’m writing this review especially for travelers from outside Spain. Many visitors only explore Madrid and Barcelona and think they’ve seen the country. They haven’t. Galicia offers a completely different side of Spain– rich in culture, history, and timeless beauty. If you have the chance, don’t miss it. It was one of the highlights of my trip.
If you’re referring specifically to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, I can also make the review more personal and emphasize its spiritual and historical significance.

Lovely free walking tour in Santiago de Compostela! Jorge was an amazing guide, very passionate about the history of the city and its art and architecture! Definitely recommend a tour with We Galicia if you have time during your stay in Santiago.

Fantastic free walking tour of the city around the Cathedral We learned so much from our English speaking guide Ticiano and the tour showed us some great sights around the city to enjoy. Absolutely recommended !

Really nice guy, canāt pronounce his name but is is Brazilian. It poured with rain but it didnāt faze him and he delivered an Indians interesting tour of Santiago.
